How to Read Betting Odds
Bettors in Bangladesh mainly come across three types of odds formats. Each expresses the same probability — only the way it is written differs.
Decimal Odds (Most Common)
The number tells you the total return for every ৳1 staked. Odds of 2.50 mean ৳2.50 back for every ৳1 — meaning ৳1.50 profit. Any number above 1 can represent either an underdog or a favourite.

The Same Odds in Three Formats
Team A's winning odds: Decimal 2.50 = Fractional 3/2 = American +150. On a ৳500 bet, if you win you get ৳1,250 back in total (৳750 profit + ৳500 stake); if you lose, ৳500 is gone. Team B's favourite odds: Decimal 1.80 = Fractional 4/5 = American −125. On a ৳500 bet, if you win you get ৳900 back (৳400 profit).
